About This Recipe

These whimsical dirt cups layer silky chocolate pudding with a crumbly graham crust for a playful dessert that’s as beautiful as it is indulgent. Made with Spring & Mulberry’s Blood Orange Bar and finished with fresh florals, they turn a nostalgic childhood treat into something elevated and elegant.

Ingredients
Serving Size: 6-8, depending on the cup size
2

Spring & Mulberry Blood Orange Date-Sweetened Dark Chocolate Bars, chopped

14

oz full-fat coconut milk

1

cup date-sweetened graham cracker crumbs (we like Must Love Co.)

¼

cup unsweetened cacao powder

3

tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature

Fresh florals, for garnish (use edible flowers if eating, otherwise remove before serving)

Directions
  1. Make the pudding. Break apart the Spring & Mulberry Blood Orange Bars and place in a medium bowl. Heat coconut milk in a saucepan until lightly simmering, then pour over the chocolate. Let sit 3–5 minutes before stirring until smooth. Refrigerate for 2–3 hours to thicken.
  2. Make the crumb layer. In a food processor, combine graham cracker crumbs, cacao powder, and butter. Pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Assemble. Layer the chocolate pudding and graham cracker crumbs in individual serving vessels such as small glass tumblers, mason jars, or coupe glasses. Garnish with fresh florals.
  4. Serve. Enjoy immediately, removing any non-edible flowers before eating.
Notes
  1. For a dramatic presentation, serve in glass coups, steamless wine glasses, or coupes so the layers are visible.
  2. Makes a great dinner party dessert — prep the pudding and crumbs ahead, then assemble just before serving.
  3. Any Spring & Mulberry bar can be substituted for the Blood Orange to create different flavor profiles.
