organic strawberries, washed and stems removed

Spring & Mulberry Pure Dark Date-Sweetened Dark Chocolate Bars, broken into pieces

1

tablespoon coconut (or neutral) oil

optional: edible florals, shredded coconut, or other toppings

Directions
  1. Prepare strawberries. Wash organic strawberries thoroughly and remove stems. Pat dry (very dry!).
  2. Melt chocolate. Chop the Pure Dark bars into small pieces. In a double boiler or heatproof bowl set over simmering water, melt Pure Dark Bars until smooth, adding in coconut oil for extra gloss. Avoid overheating, as this can lead to a gritty or scorched texture.
  3. Assemble. Select your favorite serving glassware or platter. Add the wash & dried strawberries. Pour warm melted chocolate over strawberries.
  4. Serve. Garnish with edible flowers, shredded coconut, or the topping of your choice.
Notes
  1. The quality of the strawberries will make or break this dish. Opt for fresh, ripe strawberries in season and full of flavor.
  2. Chocolate-covered strawberries are best enjoyed immediately, as the chocolate will begin to harden and the trawberries’ natural juices can affecting the texture of the chocolate.
