Where is your cacao sourced?
Our cacao is typically sourced direct-trade from one of the first regenerative farming cooperatives in West Africa where farmers are paid a premium for their beans.
Does your chocolate contain
heavy metals?
Our cacao has tested SAFE for both lead and cadmium by an independent lab. California's maximum allowable dose level (MADL) for lead is 0.5 micrograms per ounce. For this year's harvest, the lead levels in our chocolate are at .11 micrograms, which is 77.6% below the limit. For Cadmium, the limit is 4.1 micrograms per ounce and ours tested at .50, which is 87.7% below the limit.
Is your chocolate allergen free?
Our chocolate is naturally free of dairy, gluten, and soy, but is made in a facility that handles those allergens.
Is your chocolate vegan?
Our chocolate is vegan except for our Lavender Rose bar, which contains bee pollen.
How should I store my chocolate?
Store your chocolate in a cool, dry place such as a kitchen pantry between 40-75F.
How do you ship chocolate
in the summer?
We offer a no-melt guarantee, shipping chocolate with ice packs and insulation via two-day air.
