Earl Grey Hot Chocolate Oatmeal

About This Recipe

This oatmeal is a warm, aromatic blend of hearty oats steeped in the flavors of Earl Grey tea, naturally sweetened with soft, caramel-like dates and studded with deep, date-sweetened dark chocolate. It’s comforting and quietly luxurious—nourishing enough for a slow morning, but elegant enough to feel like a treat. Inspired by our friend, Justine Doiron

Ingredients
Serving Size: 2
3 1/2

cups milk of choice

1/2

tsp salt

2

2 cups rolled oats

cup chopped dates

1

tsp vanilla bean paste

½

Spring & Mulberry Earl Grey bar

Pinch of flaky sea salt (for topping)

Directions
  1. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, bring the milk and salt to a light simmer.
  2. Stir in the rolled oats, chopped dates, and vanilla bean paste.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium, cover, and cook for 5 minutes, stirring once or twice to prevent sticking.
  4. While the oats cook, break the chocolate into small pieces and place them in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
  5. Remove the oatmeal from the heat and let it stand for 2–3 minutes to thicken.
  6. Spoon the oatmeal into a bowl, pour the warm melted chocolate over the top, and finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt. Serve immediately.
