Ingredients

Medjool dates, pitted

heaping spoon almond butter or peanut butter

½

cup milk of choice (dairy or plant-based)

teaspoon ground flaxseed

Spring & Mulberry Mini Pure Dark Date-Sweetened Dark Chocolate Bar, 1 large piece for the shake + additional chopped for topping

Handful ice cubes

Pinch of sea salt

Optional toppings: chopped banana, nuts, or extra chocolate

Directions
  1. Prepare ingredients. Pit the date(s), slice the frozen banana, and chop the Pure Dark Bar, setting aside some pieces for topping.
  2. Blend base. In a high-speed blender, combine dates, banana, nut butter, milk, protein powder, flaxseed, ice, and sea salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add chocolate. Drop a few pieces of chopped chocolate into the blender and pulse several times until just broken into small chunks for a cookies-and-cream texture.
  4. Serve. Pour into a tall glass. Top with reserved chopped chocolate and any desired toppings.
  5. Enjoy. Best served immediately for the creamiest texture and richest flavor

  1. Use 1 medjool date for a less sweet breakfast smoothie, more dates for sweeter ice cream like taste
