Where is your cacao sourced?
Our cacao is typically sourced direct-trade from one of the first regenerative farming cooperatives in Ghana where farmers are paid a premium for their beans. Until July, those beans are unavailable and so we are using conventional Ghanain beans.
Does your chocolate contain
heavy metals?
Our cacao has been tested SAFE for both lead and cadmium. It is 50% below the California MADL for lead and 75% below the California MADL for cadmium.
Is your chocolate allergen free?
Our chocolate is naturally free of dairy, gluten, and soy, but is made in a facility that handles those allergens.
Is your chocolate vegan?
Our chocolate is vegan except for our Lavender Rose bar, which contains bee pollen.
How should I store my chocolate?
Store your chocolate in a cool, dry place such as a kitchen pantry between 40-75F.
How do you ship chocolate
in the summer?
We offer a no-melt guarantee, shipping chocolate with ice packs and insulation via two-day air.
